i. here there be dragons... and cows? are those cows? (the lethe)
[ When Draco said that dragons who pass go to the stars, this was not what he had meant. Waking up to floating freely in the air — having no gravity affected him as much as any other creature here on the agricultural deck — and seemingly down-sized to roughly the same height as a large horse was not a happy moment for him.
Worse yet was the fact that the other beasts around him immediately began throwing a fit to not only be floating about but to be doing so with a still considerably large predator. The noise from the... cattle? No, not cattle, those were...
He wasn't sure but whatever they were, they were already giving him a headache for sure. ]
Will you cease your useless bleating already? [ The dragon grumbles aloud at them but there's no change, voice gruff and already well put-upon despite being here for like two seconds so far. Of course, there wouldn't be any response. Not much to be expected from simple animals. ] ...stars save me, how do I get down from here...?
[ He would have to ignore them for now as he tried to turn himself right way up in the sheer lack of gravity. One wing out, flapping a little, trying to rotate, oh boy, this was nothing like real flight and a real sight to behold, a dragon flailing awkwardly about with no gravity. ]
ii. this was not what the trash compactor monster was expecting (the keros)
[ Somewhere on the Keros, a trap is triggered and someone finds their way all too abruptly dunked into the trash compactor's foul and murky waters below. Normally what follows would be a scramble to escape the grasp of the monster dwelling in that same water, only this time they appear to have lucked out.
Said monster is already tangling with a second monster. Well, perhaps not a monster, not really, although it heavily depends on how one defines what a dragon is. Regardless, Draco had fallen for the same trap minutes before elsewhere on the space station and is already thrashing about with it in the water. He may not be as massive as he used to be but he's hardly a pushover. He already has one of its tentacles in his jaws and is busy prying another from around his neck with a hand-like foreclaw.
At seeing another join him from yet another trap chute, he bites down on the one in his mouth hard enough for sharp teeth to sever it, and then, with a sputter, as the taste is most assuredly foul, he snaps, ]
Either stand back to the wall or lend me your aid! I do not care which!
[ Essentially, either stay out of the way or help him! And then he carries on thrashing about in the water as another pair of grasping tentacles come shooting up out of the water. ]
iii. downtime amongst the stars (the keros)
[ With the pirates gone, there was only so much Draco could help with. Everything here was beyond his comprehension apart from, well, the stars, which they were now living amongst. Heavy lifting, certainly, that he could do, and he offered to drag anything larger than what the average human could handle from loading docks to ships and back again. He could clear debris on the space station, too, easily enough, provided someone was along to deal with the sneakier traps still active, but at the end of it all...
Well, at some point in the crew's exploration of Keros, an observation deck with an acceptable amount of life support still functioning was found and that is where Draco has settled in when not needed. He lays along the edge of the vast window looking out into the sprawling grave of spaceships floating still and silent and, beyond those, the stars themselves, only— ]
I cannot see them out there.
[ Anyone else around taking in the same view or even just wandering in might hear him say with a quiet sigh. Who, though? Who can't he see? ]
(ooc: for the sake of Draco being able to get around, he has been shrunken down to size of a large Clydesdale horse; still big but more of a "can move around a spaceship" big! that said, he is a little limited on the Keros to spots where the station still has life support. i'm just assuming his handy dandy bracelet will warn him not to go where he can't breathe...)
